🏃‍♂️ The Paavo Marathon Overview

The Paavo Nurmi Marathon is a point-to-point marathon run in Northern Iron County, Wisconsin - always the 2nd Saturday in August. The Paavo runs on a certified course which is a Boston Marathon qualifying event. A half marathon, marathon RELAY, and Twilight 5K Run/Walk are also part of the festivities.

The Paavo Nurmi Marathon is the longest running marathon in Wisconsin, with 2025 being our 55th year. We have custom wooden finisher medals made from local wood by local artisans here in town for all marathon, half marathon, and RELAY finishers.
