🏔️ Race Details
Challenge: Looking for a challenge? The Takshanuk Ridge Run is a premier summer trail race in Haines, Alaska. This demanding 11.5 mile trail run climbs through temperate rainforest, along an iconic alpine ridgeline, and ultimately finishes in the center of Haines.
Event: Come join us for the 6th annual run between the sea and sky in the adventure capital of Southeast Alaska!
📍 Location
Where: 7 mile Saddle Trailhead Parking Lot.
🕗 Schedule
Shuttle: If you would like a ride out to the race start, there will be a shuttle to transport all the racers to the start at 7:30 AM.
Departure: The shuttle will leave from Alaska Backcountry Outfitters (across the road from the SEARHC Clinic).
Start Time: The race will start from the 7 mile Saddle Trailhead at 8:00 AM.

Token: Beer/Root beer token for those who complete the race.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers and most improved time.
⚖️ Rules
Bear Awareness: We are in a wilderness area and traveling through bear country. Take care/be aware of the natural surroundings. There will be extra bear spray and air horns at the race start for racers to borrow.
Safety Gear: In a mountain area, weather and conditions can change fast. Bring the equipment you think you will need to be safe. Only a wind jacket, food & water, waste bag or backpack, and bear spray are mandatory racing gear.
Trash Responsibility: Racers must carry a waste bag or backpack and pack out any trash.
Respect: Respect the other runners and the volunteers. They are there to help you.
Self-Sufficiency: The race is semi-autonomous. Given the terrain of the course, there are no aid stations. Think about and bring the food and liquid that you need.
External Aid: Excluding an emergency, no external aid is permitted outside what the racers can carry with them.
Assistance: In case of injury or danger to another runner, you will need to take appropriate precautions and help until rescue arrives.
Director's Authority: The race director has the authority to modify the route, reschedule, and/or cancel the race in case of bad conditions.
Withdrawals: If you decide to stop the race, you need to communicate this to a race volunteer or the race director.
Doping Policy: No doping.

Liability: The TRR and the CVCRC will not be held liable in case of accident, neglect, and/or loss of the objects of each participant.
Participant Responsibility: Participants will be responsible for any damage that may be caused to themselves or others.
