IT'S BACK! The annual "WANGO TANGO" endurance race, a loud and rowdy 4-hour ENDURANCE mountain bike race/trail run on the City Lake trail system in Siloam Springs Arkansas!
You read that right, this year the Wango Tango will again include a 5k and 10k trail run on the hidden gem of the Siloam City Lake trails set to take place before the start of the 4-hour mountain bike endurance race. All of this awesomeness is set to take place this year on Saturday, November 15th, 2025!
In a partnership with Siloam Springs Parks & Recreation, the Borderline Ozark Off-Road Cyclists are excited to again bring mountain bike racing and trail running to western Benton County!
Along the same vein as the popular ‘Beast of Burden’ event, the Wango Tango features:
This will be an electronically timed race.
Mountain Bike Award Categories include:
Trail Run Award Categories will include top male and female overall finishers, as well as awards for top age category finishers.
Come smash it out solo or with your best compadres as the Wango Tango caters to all skill levels. The race is spectator friendly and friendly heckling is encouraged.
There will be food from the grill, snacks, and water during the event for all participants. Trophies will be awarded 3 deep in every category.
All competitors must be 13 or older by December 31st, 2025. Helmets are required for the mountain bike race, and all mountain bike competitors must have at least one light source to compete (Helmet AND bar lights are recommended).
The Wango Tango is unsanctioned, and all participants must sign a waiver. Under 18 must have a parent or guardians’ signature to compete.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Borderline chapter of the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists and volunteer trail advocacy in Western Benton and Washington Counties.
City Lake is located just north of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. From downtown head north on Mt. Olive Street and then turn right onto Dawn Hill Road. Follow signs for parking.
Only volunteers will be allowed to park at the trailhead/pit area. All participants must park in designated parking areas and either ride to the trailhead/pit area or drop off their equipment before parking. Bike racks will be provided in the pit.
