- Course: Runners will embark on a winding journey to the top of Emerald Hill.
- Benefit: Participation benefits student scholarships and funds that enhance the Austin Peay experience.
Valerie Hunter-Kelly Run/Walk For the Govs 1K
- Honoree: Named in honor of Valerie Hunter-Kelly, a dedicated member of the Run For Govs 5K Committee.
- Legacy: Valerie became an avid runner aiming to complete races in all fifty states and Washington, D.C.
- Final Journey: She completed her final run surrounded by family on November 7, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Scholarship: Proceeds from the 1K will support the Valerie Hunter-Kelly (HHP) Scholarship for student development.
