🌟 Event Overview

• Legacy: The Jingle Trail races continue the healthy holiday themed legacy of running in Tucson and Vail.
• Community Engagement: Mica Mountain High School and the Mica Mountain Cross Country Program aim to engage the community in promoting healthy lifestyles and community engagement.
• Toys for Tots: We partner with the local community and Vail School District Transportation Department to collect toys for Toys for Tots.
• Donation Request: Every registered runner/walker is requested to bring a new & unwrapped toy for donation.

🏃‍♂️ Race Experience

• Course Support: The Mica Mountain Cross Country team will be out on course to help direct you and cheer you on from the start to the finish line.
• Course Details: The course will primarily be on the Mica Mountain Cross Country course with potential modifications.
• Navigation: The race will be chalked/coned and have railroad ties denoting borders, along with Mica Cross Country athletes pointing you in the right direction.
• Facility: The race will start and finish on the newly updated school track, incorporating features like "Thunder Hill" and the "Rolling Thunder" hills.

🌱 Course Improvements

• Service Day: A 2021 "Day of Service" improved the terrain with 10 truck-beds filled with pecan shells from the Green Valley Pecan Company.
• Student Efforts: On May 5th, 2023, over 50 students helped weed, level, widen, and lay over 30 tons of decomposed granite on sections of the course.
• Material Collection: On May 12th, 2023, Cross Country athletes and district employees traveled to Bisbee to collect 100 railroad ties for better path sectioning.
• Terrain Variety: Course terrain varies from a fast start and finish on the school track to asphalt sections, dirt, grass, and hills.
