Tic-Tac-Toe Trail Party

🎉 Tic-Tac-Toe Trail Party Overview

This race is a beginner friendly twist on the traditional trail run. It will be held at 1 North Adventure Trails in Blanchard. TTTTP is a different format than your traditional race. It's designed to make running fun by utilizing a game you’ve known since childhood.... tic-tac-toe. You will be timed and your distance will be recorded but there will be no age groups and no overall winners. The goal is 3 O’s in a row but there will be other ways to win as well.

📝 The Rules

• Game of skill or chance: Each runner will compete in a game at the completion of each lap.
• Die rolling: The runner will roll a 6 sided die that has an equal number of X's and O's.
• Placement: If the player rolls an O, the player decides where to place it on their tic-tac-toe bib: if X, the worker places it.
• Worker's choices: Throughout the race, the worker will employ different methods to determine placements including fist choices and coin flips.

🏆 Ways to Win

• First with 3 O's: $50 for achieving three in-a-row.
• Tic-Tac-Toe: $25 for the first with a complete tic-tac-toe.
• Four corners: $25 for the first with an O in each corner.
• 8 of a kind: Free Race Entry for 8 X's or 8 O's.

⏱️ Event Details

This is a timed event with times recorded for every 5-mile circuit. A circuit consists of 3 completed loops. To receive a time for 10 miles, another 3 miles must be completed beyond the first circuit.

🚩 Course and Aid Stations

• Elevation: The course is not overly technical, but the elevation is significant for this part of Louisiana.
• Aid station: There will be an aid station at the Start/Finish area with expectations of more supplies than typically found on a road course.
• Water: Anticipated at the turnaround point of each trail (the game table).
• Volunteers: Seeking volunteers for the game table, with race credits offered for future events.

🍰 Post-Race Celebrations

Thinking cake and ice cream at the finish. It's BYOB, and if you do that, then BRDAB.
