• Variety: 18 EVENT OPTIONS featuring 6 Olympic distance events (Triathlon, RunBikeRun, SwimBike, SwimRun, 1640 Yard Swim & 10K Run), 6 Sprint distance events (Triathlon, RunBikeRun, SwimBike, SwimRun, 400 yard Swim & 5K Run) and 6 Youth Sprint distance events (Triathlon, RunBikeRun, SwimBike, SwimRun, 400 yard Swim & 5K Run).
• Triathlon: This includes swim + bike + run. The swim and run distances are standard, while the bike distance may vary.

🏞️ Castaic Lake

• Location: The 35th annual Castaic Lake Triathlon takes place at scenic Castaic Lake, located just 20 miles north of Los Angeles.
• Recreation Area: The Castaic Lake Recreation Area is an 11,200-acre facility with lakes, boating, fishing, hiking, and more.
• Activities: Enjoy activities such as wakeboarding, jet-skiing, camping, picnicking, kayaking, and sailing.
• Camping: "Tri-cation" Friday night camping is available through Castaic Lake.

🚴 The Course

• Swim Course: A modified V shape in Paradise Cove at Castaic Lake with 8 lifeguards in the water on paddleboards.
• Bike Course: Back roads limit interaction with cars, with some U-turns requiring athletes to slow down.
• Run Course: Primarily on the rolling trails overlooking Castaic Lake.

🌡️ Air Temperature (Avg)

• Morning Conditions: Mid June mornings are often cooler, with early fog burning off to reach the mid 80s.
• Event Temperature: Expect around 60 degrees during the event.

🌊 Water Temperature (Avg)

• June Water Temps: Usually range in the mid to high 60s.
• Updates: Email updates will be sent out closer to the race for these temperatures.
