Go Gray for Oaklee 5K Run/Walk and 1K Color Walk/Run

👟 Race Overview

Go Gray for Oaklee is excited to announce our first annual 5K and 1K color run! Please join us at our family friendly event!

All proceeds will go towards Oaklee and her family to cover medical expenses, travel for treatment and giving Oaklee the comfort and care she deserves.

🌟 About Oaklee and Her Journey

• Diagnosis: At just 11 months old, sweet Oaklee was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.
• Challenges: In her short life, she has endured brain surgeries, countless hospital stays, 48 rounds of chemotherapy, and 18 months of RNA inhibitors.
• Current Situation: Recently, her tumor has started to grow again, causing her vision to decline even further.
• Inspiration: Despite everything she’s been through, Oaklee’s spirit remains unshaken and continues to inspire everyone around her.

📅 Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 AM: Packet pickup and race day registration opens
• 7:00 AM: Packet pickup and race day registration closes for 5K, registration will remain open for 1K
• 7:15 AM: Pre-race meeting
• 7:30 AM: 5K Race begins
• 9:00 AM: 1K Color Run begins

🏃‍♀️ 5K Run/Walk

• Race Start: 5K race begins at 7:30 AM
• Entry Fee: $40 entry, race day entry $45
• Inclusions: Your 5K race entry will include a race t-shirt guaranteed for online registration only until August 28th, 2025.
• Event Access: Access to the entire benefit without paying admission, including black pot cook-off, silent auction, raffle, and more!

🕒 Packet Pickup

Packet pick up will be at Southern Specialty Products, 615 E Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70601, on September 19th from 12:30 PM until 4:30 PM. If you cannot pick it up on the 19th, you can get your packet before the race starts on September 20th between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.

🎨 1K Color Fun Run/Walk

• Start Time: 1K Color Run begins at 9:00 AM.
• Entry Fee: $10 entry for the color run
• Age Policy: Ages 3 and under will be FREE.
• T-Shirt Policy: T-Shirts are not included, wear white!

🏅 Awards

Overall top 3 male and female will be awarded medals and baked goods.

💰 Registration Fees

RACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL BE $45 FOR THE 5K, $10 FOR THE COLOR RUN, AND $50 FOR BOTH RACES.
