Race Overview

Spreading Help Around You is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2014 in honor of Shaylyn Anela Pinoliar, who tragically passed away on November 14, 2012. Our mission is to help and support families who have lost a loved one, educate them on the importance of being prepared during such a time of loss, and provide active service to the community. As well as promoting Pedestrian Safety Awareness. This year, we proudly launched the SHAY Scholarship Program, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to supporting education and empowering future leaders.

Honoring Shaylyn

Each year, since Shaylyn’s passing, family, friends, and community members gather to honor her memory with an Annual 5k Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. Last year, we moved the event to Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was a great success, and we look forward to continuing the tradition this year to honor her memory.

Participation Perks

• Event Shirt: All participants will receive an event shirt.
• Custom Finisher's Medal: Each participant receives a medal upon completion.
• Team Registration: Join or create a team for the event.
• Special Rate: Children 10 and under receive a special rate automatically during registration.

Awards and Recognition

Ages group awards will be given for our timed 5k.

The first 100 participants will receive a Custom Finisher's Medal!

Packet Pickup & Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Friday, November 28, 2025 at Delano Chamber of Commerce, 931 High St. Delano, Ca 93215, Time: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Event Schedule:
• 8:00 AM - Late Packet Pickup/Registration
• 9:00 AM - 5k Start Time
• 10:30 AM - 5k Awards
• 11:00 AM - Raffle Winners

Amenities

All participants will receive the following:

• Event T-Shirt: Included for all participants.
• Custom Finisher's Medallion: Given upon completion.
• Race Bib: Bib numbers will be dynamically assigned.
• Age Group Awards: Awards will be presented based on age group categories.
