Race Overview

• Organizer: The LaChute Road Runners Club welcomes you to experience a scenic 5K cross-country course through trails, roads, and fields.
• Event Purpose: This event raises awareness about online safety with the Prevention Team/Safe Harbour NY Essex County.
• Challenge: Encouraging personal connection and well-being through the NYS Parks Wellness Challenge: “Get Offline, Get Outside”.
• Family Event: There is a 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk option along the scenic 5K cross-country course to encourage family participation.

Event Details

• Date: September 19, 2026
• Location: 21 Grandview Drive, Crown Point, New York 12928 (Crown Point State Historic Site and Crown Point DEC Campsite)
• Youth Participation: For safety, youth participants age 15 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver throughout the event.
• Memory Making: Join caregivers in supporting youth and making great memories together!

Registration Fees

• Students 18 & Under: Registration fee has been waived thanks to a generous private donor. Register by September 1 for a FREE T-shirt.
• T-shirts: Available ONLY to those who pre-register before September 1.

Awards

• Categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age category for males and females, as well as overall male and female.
• Award Classes: Male and Female, Age: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Check-In Information

• Packet Pick-Up: Bib Number and/or Shirt and race day registration from 8:45 - 9:30 AM at the Picnic Pavilion.
• Facility: On-site bathrooms available across from the Picnic Pavilion, near the 5K start: Water Station on Course.

Course Details

• Start Times: The 5K course starts at the lighthouse on the campground side and goes UNDER the bridge along the trail. The 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk starts near the bridge/fort on the historic site.
• Arrival: Allow yourself time to get to the start for 10AM.

Parking Information

• Directions: The NYS Park staff will direct you to the field on the right just before the Picnic Pavilion.
