Cultural Heritage: Native American tribes, Spanish and French trappers, gold seekers, hunters, and American settlers have used these mountains as guides.
Religious Importance: The Ute, Comanche, Apache, and other, earlier Native American tribes held the peaks in religious awe.
Name Meaning: Wahatoya means βBreasts of the Earth.β

Collaboration: Our event will be pairing with both the town of La Veta and Cuchara to help them celebrate their annual October Fest.
Local Brewer: We will be partnering with the local brewer to provide finish line beers.
