Lexington Legacy 5k

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

In 2008, the Lexington High School Cross Country / Track & Field program hosted its first annual “Alumni Race” on the same, nearly all-road course the team has called home since 1970. Over the last 17 years, with the support of athletes, coaches, and parent volunteers our tradition has grown into an event that allows us to share the sport we love with the larger community. The Lexington Legacy 5k run/walk will be held this year on Small Business Saturday, November 29th at 9am. All proceeds will go to support the LHS Cross Country / Track & Field team.

💸 Entry Fees

• Pre-Registration Race Fee: $35
• Day of Event Race Fee: $40
• Students &: Seniors: $25
• Town of Lexington Employees: $25

🎽 Event Swag

• Official T-shirt: Participants who register before November 8th receive the official Lexington Legacy 5k T-shirt.
• T-shirt Purchase: Race T-shirts can be purchased through our online store or on race day for $20.
• Raffle Ticket: All participants will receive one (1) 50/50 raffle ticket as part of their registration fee.

• Top LHS alumni male
• Top LHS alumni female
• Age group awards: Age group awards will be issued to the top male and female finishers in the following categories:
  • 11 and under
  • 12-14 years old
  • 15-19 years old
  • 20-29 years old
  • 30-39 years old
  • 40-49 years old
  • 50-59 years old
  • 60-69 years old
  • 70 and over

📸 Race Day Photos

• Photo Coverage: Photos will be taken throughout the race.
• Free Photos: All race day photos will be published and available to the public for FREE on our website at the completion of the event.

Strollers and dogs are welcome in the race, lined up at the back of the starting pack to avoid collisions.
