- Purpose: This 5K is the kickoff to a community event to honor a legacy while helping children in the community.
- Legacy: The Wildflower Legacy Foundation was created in honor of Hattie Jean White, born still on September 23rd, 2021.
- Mission: Since 2022, Meredith and Jacob have aimed to provide experiences to children, regardless of financial restrictions.
- Opportunity: Every family should have the chance to watch their child(ren) do something they love.
Event Details
- Kickoff: The 5K will begin with a Dove release and a moment of silence to honor Hattie.
- Start Location: The American Red Cross (100 S. May Ave. Athens, Ohio).
- Gathering: At the conclusion of the 5K, the community will gather at Jackie O's Taproom.
- Activities: Family fun, raffles, and remembrance in support of Hattie's legacy.
