🎃 Race Overview

Come on out and join us for the newest Michigan Trail Experience race. Experience a beautiful 4.167 mile loop through Sleepy Hollow State Park. The park contains over 2,600 acres including a river winding its way through the woods. The course will take you through prairie grass fields, hardwood forest, and stands of Pine trees. This race is a 12hr Back Yard Ultra, last man standing rules, with an option to do the single lap. Elevation gain 151ft.

⏰ Race Options

• Single Lap Option: Starts at 8:00am, chip timed with live results. Sunrise will be 8:12am.
• 12hr Option: Starts at 9:00am, runners must start the loop at the top of the hour. Completion of 12hrs equals 50 miles.
• Headlamp Requirement: A headlamp is required for the last couple of laps as sunset is at 6:21pm.

📅 Single Loop Details

• Start Time: 8 AM Single Loop
• Entry Fee: $35 until Oct 24th, $40 from Oct 25th through Nov 1st.
• Entry Fee 18 and under: $27 until Oct 24th, $35 from Oct 25th to Nov 1st.
• Packet Pickup: Race day morning starting at 7:00 am.

🏅 12 Hr Back Yard Ultra Details

• Start Time: 9 AM
• Entry Fee: $65 until Oct 24th, $70 from Oct 25th through Oct 31st.
• Packet Pickup: Race day morning starting at 7:00 am.
• Race Swag: All entries will receive a T-shirt and patch.

🥇 Awards and Results

• Results: Chip timed with accurate lap recording.
• Awards for Single Loop: Overall finishers male and female will receive a $25 Playmakers gift card. First places in each age group will receive a $10 Playmakers gift card.
• Awards for 12 Hr Ultra: Overall winner receives the Headless Horseman trophy and a $25 Playmakers gift card.
• Aid Station: One aid station will be near the start/finish with snacks and drinks: there will not be aid stations on the course.
