🏃‍♂️ Occoneechee State Park Annual Turkey Trot

The 5K Race and one-mile kids fun run is conducted in scenic Occoneechee State Park which borders John Kerr Lake and the attractive lake front town of Clarksville VA... The 5K course consists of paved roads, rolling hills, and lake views as it winds through wooded areas of the park. All proceeds directly benefit Occoneechee State Park by providing funding for projects such as an ADA compliant fishing dock, 18-hole Disc Golf Course, and many other park events, enhancements, and environmental projects. The 5K event is sponsored by the Friends of Occoneechee State Park, a volunteer nonprofit organization.

• Date: November 22, 2025 (Rain or Shine)
• Registration End: November 16, 2025

👶 1 Mile Kids' Fun Run/Walk

• Time: 10 am
• Eligibility: Children 13 and under. Parental assistance and strollers are welcome.
• Participation: All children that participate in the 1 mile Kids Fun Run will receive a medal.

🏃‍♀️ 5K Fun Run/Walk

• Time: 11 am
• Eligibility: All ages, walk, run, hop, skip or crawl
• Extras: Well-mannered leashed pets & costumes welcome
• Timing: This event will be officially timed and measured

🏅 Awards

Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers of the 5K and top finisher in the following age groups:

• Age 14 - 24
• Age 25 - 34
• Age 35 - 44
• Age 45 - 54
• Age 55 - 64
• Age 65 and up

👕 T-Shirts

Optional T-Shirts are available for purchase. Order at the time of registration on or before October 20, 2025. If you do not want a T-Shirt select (Opt Out) in T-Shirt size option during registration.

💰 Entry Fee

• Park Entry Fee: $7.00 or donate 4 cans of food that will be donated to the local food bank
• Donations: Donations are welcome and appreciated
• Race Packets: Race Packets will be available on the day of the event

🗓️ Late Registration

Late registration is November 17 – November 20.

• 5K Run: $35.00
• Kids 1 Mile Fun Run: $20.00
• In-Person Late Registration: You may also register late in person on the day of the event, cash only.
