3rd Annual St. Francis of Assisi 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: October 18, 2025
• Location: 2000 W Poplar St, Harrisburg, IL
• Website: St. Francis of Assisi 5K
• Purpose: Exercise, fun, and supporting local shelter animals

🐾 Pet-Friendly Fun

• Encouragement: Pets are more than welcome, they are encouraged!
• Photo Area: A setup will be available to capture memories with friends, family, and pets.
• Refreshments: Free refreshments for both you and your pet before and after the race.
• Raffles: Different gift baskets will be raffled off during the event.

🐶 Adoptable Animals

• St. Francis CARE: Animal shelter will bring animals currently up for adoption.
• Saline Co: Foster dogs available for adoption will also be present.
• Donations: Bring dog food, cat food, litter, pet toys, or anything pet-related to support the shelters.
• Proceeds: Will be split between St. Francis CARE Animal Shelter in Murphysboro and Saline Co. animal shelter.

🏅 Race Details

• Race Course: A map will be provided and the path will be clearly marked for participants.
• Awards: The top 3 winners from each age group will receive a medal.
• Age Groups: Divided into 4 sections: Ages 5-19, 20-34, 35-50, and 50+.
• T-Shirts: Included in the registration price when you register before October 3rd.
