5K for Peace – Join Us in Moving for Justice!

Lace up your shoes and join the 5K for Peace on October 4, 2025, as we walk and run together through the beautiful squares of historic downtown Savannah, Georgia. This community event welcomes people of all ages and abilities to stand together for compassion, dignity, and hope.

🌍 Supporting a Cause

This year’s 5K will shine a light on the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza while also uplifting neighbors here at home—including unhoused community members and refugees seeking safety and stability. Funds raised will go toward essential needs—food, water, medicine, and shelter—because every person deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to live without fear. Whether you’re running for a personal best or walking side by side with friends and family, every step you take helps protect children, support families, and bring relief to those facing hardship.

Proceeds from the 5K for Peace benefit Rooted Ummah, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to delivering meals, supplies, and resources to neighbors in need, while also supporting U.S.-based organizations providing humanitarian relief for communities in Gaza facing urgent need, as well as refugees building new lives. Together, we can show that compassion knows no borders and that dignity, safety, and care are universal human rights.
