In honor of Anders Elmblad, we are proud to host the 2nd Annual Doggy Dash 5K.
About Anders Elmblad
- Memory: Anders passed away in 2024 at the age of 25 from glioblastoma.
- Legacy: The therapy dogs brought him joy and comfort during his short stay at Michigan Medicine.
- Fundraiser: We are working to raise funds to sponsor a new therapy dog at Michigan Medicine through the Paws4Patients program.
- Support: Proceeds from this event will directly support this cause.
Race Details
- Date & Location: 2026-09-26 at 8801 N Territorial Rd, Dexter, MI.
- Timing: This year’s race features chipped timing.
- All Participants: All ages, paces, and abilities are welcome—whether you walk, run, or jog!
- Family Friendly: Strollers, kids, and of course, furry friends are encouraged to join in on the fun.
T-Shirts & Merchandise
- Generous Donation: Ann Arbor T-Shirt Company has once again generously donated the first 100 event t-shirts.
- Continued Support: After the first 100, half of all t-shirt proceeds will continue to benefit Paws4Patients.
- Online Store: The online store will remain open well beyond race day.
- Doggy Bandanas: Lara Elmblad has also created doggy bandanas available for purchase during sign-up and on race day!
Course Amenities
- Hydration: On the course, water and bananas will be provided.
- Post-Race Treats: After the race, enjoy baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and doggy treats available for purchase—all supporting the fundraiser.
- Vehicle Fee: Hudson Mills charges a $10 vehicle entry fee unless you have a Metroparks pass.
Packet Pick-Up
- Location: Optional packet pick-up at HOMES Campus (112 Jackson Plaza, Ann Arbor, MI 48103).
- Date: Saturday, October 4th from 9a-1p.
- Recommendation: We highly recommend stopping by.
- Race Day: You will still be able to check-in (& register!) on race day.
