🐾 Event Overview

In honor of Anders Elmblad, we are proud to host the 2nd Annual Doggy Dash 5K.

🌟 About Anders Elmblad

Anders passed away in 2024 at the age of 25 from glioblastoma. The therapy dogs brought him joy and comfort during his short stay at Michigan Medicine. To honor his life and continue his legacy, we are working to raise funds to sponsor a new therapy dog at Michigan Medicine through the Paws4Patients program. Proceeds from this event will directly support this cause.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Chipped Timing: This year’s race features chipped timing.
• All Abilities Welcome: All ages, paces, and abilities are welcome—whether you walk, run, or jog!
• Family Friendly: Strollers, kids, and of course, furry friends are encouraged to join in on the fun.

T-Shirt & Merchandise

• Generous Donation: Ann Arbor T-Shirt Company has once again generously donated the first 100 event t-shirts.
• Proceeds Benefit: Half of all t-shirt proceeds will continue to benefit Paws4Patients.
• Pre-Purchase: Shirts purchased by 9/20 will be ready for pick-up at check-in.
• Doggy Bandanas: Lara Elmblad has also created doggy bandanas available for purchase during sign-up and on race day!

🍔 Post-Race Treats

On the course, water and bananas will be provided. After the race, enjoy baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and doggy treats available for purchase—all supporting the fundraiser.

🚗 Fees & Packet Pick-Up

• Parking Fee: Please note: Hudson Mills charges a $10 vehicle entry fee unless you have a Metroparks pass.
• Optional Packet Pick-Up: There will be an optional packet pick-up at HOMES Campus (112 Jackson Plaza, Ann Arbor, MI 48103) on Saturday, October 4th from 9a-1p.
• Race Day Check-in: We highly recommend stopping by, but you will still be able to check-in (& register!) on race day.
