Wayne Provision is a provider of foster care services for youth in DCS custody. We focus on teen boys.
We work in conjunction with Wayne Halfway House to provide in-home foster care placement for youth in residential placement who have completed their program but don't have a family option. We also place new custody youth from DCS.
We are running to bring awareness to Jackson and surrounding areas that we are here to provide services and to Restore Hope for youth in foster care.
Our race will begin at 7PM at the Jackson Farmer's Market, cover Lambuth campus, and end at the Jackson Farmer's Market. We want people to understand the trauma experienced by youth who are separated from their family and that trauma comes at all hours, day, and night.
Awards will be provided as follows: Overall male/female, 14 & Under male/female, 15-19 male/female, 20-29 male/female, 30-39 male/female, 40-49 male/female, 50-59 male/female, and 60 and over male/female.
Any proceeds will go to help provide Christmas for our youth.
