Celebrate life, community, and tradition at the Calaverita Run 5K, a joyful way to honor loved ones for Día de los Muertos.

Lace up for this family-friendly event that blends fitness, culture, and remembrance into one unforgettable evening. Run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines in your best calavera-inspired outfit and help fill the course with color and spirit.

Along the route, enjoy beautifully crafted altars and lively music. After crossing the finish line, stick around for a festive celebration featuring local vendors and community art.

Running in Remembrance

• Opportunity: Participants will have the opportunity to run with the photo of a loved one on their race bib, and afterwards place it on the community altar.
• Experience: The Calaverita Run 5K & Family Walk is more than a race. It’s a shared experience that brings our community together to remember the past while embracing the joy of the present.
• Spirit: In San Antonio, we don’t just run—we run with our spirits high, with our ancestors at our side, and with a heart that never forgets.

5K Run Pricing

• Early Bird: $35 (Aug. 15 – Sept. 18)
• Regular: $40 (Sept. 19 – Oct. 18)
• Late: $45 (Oct. 19 – Oct. 25)

Family Walk Pricing

• Individuals: $25
• Group of 4: $80
