Run Walk to Remember 5K / 10K / Fun Run

Event Overview

This great 5K/10K/ Fun Run benefits PruittCares - Camp Cocoon, which is a bereavement camp for children ages 6-17.

Purpose of the Event

• Environment for Children: The camp offers the children a safe environment to talk about their loved ones, ask counselors and medical professionals any questions they may have or just to let loose and enjoy the normal summer camp activities.
• Community Opportunity: Our hope is that this event can provide that same opportunity to adults in the community: a chance to wear something to honor a loved one that has passed away.
• Supportive Atmosphere: Participants can talk to others who might have gone through similar experiences.
• Friendly Competition: This is a chance to get together with friends and neighbors to compete on a fast course, set a new PR or just to run or walk to raise money for a good cause.

• Proceeds: All proceeds will go to offsetting the cost of the camp and sponsoring children to attend Camp Cocoon at no cost.
