Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Mission: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

Event Details
Community Event: This will be the second year in Susquehanna county and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) walk or run event. Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.
Registration Information
Day-of Registration: Yes, registration will open at 7 am the morning of the run. There will be a $5 late registration fee for those who choose to register on the morning of the race for all registrants except for First Responders.
Online Closure: Online registration will remain open until the start of the event. If you register after packet pick-up, you may not receive your t-shirt and any other race day swag.
T-Shirt Guarantee: If you register before you are guaranteed a shirt. People who register after this date are not guaranteed a shirt and will get one as supplies last.
Registration Policies
Transfer: Yes, see the information above OR contact us at montroserun@:t2t.org and we will manually change it in our system.
Refunds: We do not provide refunds for the event regardless if you cannot make the date or the foundation needs to cancel the event for extenuating circumstances.
Event Participation
Display of Bib: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Fast Runner Position: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral (arrive early!).
Awards: Yes, there will be awards for running.
Event Regulations
Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
Water Stations: Yes, two water stations will be available along the route and there will be water available at the start/finish line.
Medical Staff: Yes, medical staff will be available on-site.
Packet Pickup
Pickup Times: Packet pickup will be available Wednesday, September 9th from 4-6 PM, on “The Green”, Lake Ave., Montrose, Pa. 18801. Late pickup on race day starting at 7AM.
Authorization: Yes, someone else can pick up your packet for you. They must present a copy of your registration receipt.
Sponsorship and Donations

Goods or Services: You can contact us at montroserun@:t2t.org.
Fundraising: Yes! Once you are registered, you will be given directions to start your own fundraising page and you will be able to accept donations online.
Donation After Race: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event on the race registration website.
