Run for the Fallen 10K-5K-Kids Race at Merced College

• Date: Sunday, November 9th, 2025
• Location: Merced College, 3600 M Street, Merced, CA
• Opening Ceremonies: Begin at 8:30am
• Start Times: Kids Race at 8:45am, 5K/10K at 9:00am. RAIN or SHINE

🇺🇸 History of the Event

• Inception: First Run for the Fallen occurred on Flag Day, June 14, 2008
• Distance: 4100 miles run across America to honor fallen service members
• Expansion: In 2018, the event was expanded to honor over 20,000 service members
• Participation: Over 50,000 participants and 200,000+ miles run since inception

🎽 Race Details

• Organizers: The Merced Sunrise Rotary Club invites you and your family
• Events: FREE 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run starting at 9am
• Location: Start and finish near the main lawn at Merced College
• Awards: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place medals in all male and female Age-groups

👕 Additional Information

• T-shirts: Commemorative shirts available for $25 while supplies last
• Ceremony: A short ceremony to honor local fallen heroes at 8:30am
• Registration: Online registration deadline is Saturday, November 8th at 6:00pm
• Day of Race: Register from 7:00am to 8:15am, bib pick up required
