Take a step toward helping your neighbors in need by participating in this year’s Friends of the Poor Walk, a leisurely and meaningful walk benefiting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) at St. Finbar Catholic Church. This family-friendly event is a way to get involved, show compassion, and directly support those facing hardship in our local community.

About SVdP

SVdP is a volunteer-led charity that assists individuals and families struggling with food insecurity, housing, utility bills, clothing, and other basic needs. Our help is open to everyone, regardless of background or faith.

• Emergency Aid: We provide hope and dignity to those who need it most.

Event Details

• Start Time: Walk begins promptly at 9:00 AM. You do not have to walk if you do not want to.
• Course: The walk is a 0.644K loop: the mostly level course can be repeated (8 laps = 5K walk).
• Registration: On-site registration opens at 8:00 AM. Please plan to arrive by 8:45 AM to check in.
• Blessing: We will have a blessing before the walk, along with light refreshments and a small raffle after the walk!
