Lace up your shoes and join us for one of Spencer’s favorite fall traditions—the Nut Run 5K, part of the Black Walnut Festival celebrations! PATCH, Jack Garrett Ford, Roane General Hospital, and the City of Spencer are teaming up to bring you a fun and family-friendly race that’s open to everyone.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting, this beginner-friendly course is open to walkers and runners of all ages and abilities. Bring the whole family and enjoy a morning of fitness, community spirit, and festival fun!
This is an out-and-back 5K course. Starting at the Heritage Park Community Building, proceed to Bowman St., passing behind the old Spencer Middle School, then left on Vandale Ave towards Armacel. Cross Locust Ave. (Route 14), then follow race signs to Main St. Turn right at the light by Go-Mart and continue straight until the turnaround point at Pizza Hut. Head back towards downtown Spencer, turning left at the car wash cut-through onto West Main Street. Follow West Main Street to its end. Cross Locust Ave. (Route 14) again and retrace the route back to the finish line at Heritage Park.
