Barney's Run for Warriors

🎖️ 13th Annual Barney's Run for Warriors

RESCUE TWO LIVES- a veteran and a dog! We are proud supporters of K9’s for Warriors based in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Proceeds from our race purchase a highly trained service dog for an area veteran. Ninety five percent of the dogs trained by K9’s are rescued from shelters with high kill rates. The veterans that graduate from the K9’s for Warriors program are able to resume a more normal life.

🏅 Race Details

• Certification: Our 13.1, 10k, and 5k races are USATF certified.
• Cash Prizes: For overall female and male in the 1/2 marathon, 10K and 5K!
• Dog-Friendly: Remember you can bring your dog to run with you on the 1 mile, 5K, or the 10K.
• Courses: Enjoy running on our nearly flat, paved, and well-marked courses through Albany neighborhoods.

🤝 Support Our Veterans

Help stop the 22 daily suicides of our military veterans and honor them with a lifesaving service dog. Give them both a new leash on life.

👕 T-Shirt Registration Deadline

• Deadline: T-Shirts registration Deadline is: November 5th!
• Material: T-Shirts are a cotton/poly blend so please size up!!!
• Sizes: YM, YL, YXL and Adult: S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL, and 4XL.

🏆 Awards

• Medals: Given to the 10K & 5K Runners, Male & Female.
• Finishing Medals: For 13.1 & 1 Mile.
• Top Finishers: Medals given to the Top Three Male & Female Finishers in 9 Age Groups for the 10K & 5K.
• Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and above.

🏫 Best School Participation

Best American Spirit School Award will be given to the school with most participants in the 13.1, 10K, 5K, & 1 Mile.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: Packet pickup will be Friday, November 14th at The Shoe Box- 2528 Dawson Rd., Albany, GA 31707 (10:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.)
• Race Day Pickup: You can pickup on Race day from 7:45- 8:45 a.m. behind Phoebe Northwest located at 2336 Dawson Rd. on the corner of Watergate Ln. & Lake Park Dr.

🕒 Race Day Schedule

• Registration: 7:45 a.m.- 8:45 a.m.
• Half Marathon: Starts at 8:30 A.M.
• 10K & 5K: Start at 8:45 A.M.
• 1 Mile: Starts at 9:00 A.M.
