RexRun For PAWSitivity 2026 Trail Run/Walk

🐾 Race Overview

• Event Time: RexRun for PAWSitivity 2026 opens at 7:00 am.
• Location: Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, Aurora, CO.
• Vendor Marketplace: Early peek and visit with the doggies!
• Event Schedule: 5K run at 8am, 5K walk at 8:10am, kids' run at 8:45am.

🥞 Pancake Breakfast

• Complimentary Meal: Free for all registered participants.
• Food Vendor: Flippin' Flapjacks food truck!
• Breakfast Menu: Pancakes, sausage, coffee, or juice.
• Serving Time: Available from 8:30am to 10:30am.

🎉 Activities and Entertainment

• Dog Costume Contest: Colorful contest with prizes!
• Auction: Silent and live auctions to participate in.
• Kids Zone: Inflatable activities and games for children.
• Dog Training Demos: Therapy and patrol dog demonstrations throughout the day.

🐕 About K-9 Rex

• Who is Rex? A four-year-old black Labrador therapy dog.
• Mission: Offers comfort to students with special needs.
• Organization: Presented by Back The Blue K-9 Force.
• Support: 100% of net profits benefit the K-9 Force.

💰 Registration Information

• 5K Trail Run: Starts at 8:00 am.
• 5K Trail Walk: Family walk at 8:10 am (dogs welcome!).
• Kids Run: 1-mile trail run/walk at 8:45 am.
• Early Registration: March 1st - June 30th: $45 + processing fee.

🏅 Awards

• Top Finishers: Awards for the top three male and female runners.
• Ceremony: Held after the last runner finishes.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Location: Registration in the Main Hall.
• Time: Begins at 7:00 am on the day of the race.

⚠️ Safety Guidelines

• Dog Policy: Dogs must be on a 6-foot leash at all times.
• Clean-Up: Owners are required to clean up after their pets.
• Event Limitations: Participation with a stroller or dog is limited to specific events.
• Respect K-9 Units: Keep distance from law enforcement K-9 units and handlers.

🌦️ Rain or Shine

The event will be held regardless of weather conditions unless extreme weather occurs. Participants will be directed to safety by law enforcement if necessary.
