Lancaster Turkey Day 5k

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

Start your Thanksgiving celebration by running the Lancaster Turkey Day 5k with hundreds of your closest friends. Get your body moving with this Thanksgiving morning tradition, fire up your metabolism for the upcoming feasts, and help support the Foundation Dinners as they continue to serve the community on Lancaster's west side, a tradition they have faithfully maintained for over 30 years.

🍽️ Foundation Dinners Support

• Service: The Foundation Dinners serves over 2500 meals a month.
• Volunteers: Enlists the aid of over 200 volunteers from Lancaster and Fairfield County churches, organizations, businesses, and industries.
• Community Impact: Provides an opportunity for volunteers to contribute to the needs of poverty-stricken families and individuals.
• Awareness: Part of the broadcast system that informs the local area of the presence of hunger and homelessness.

💵 Early Race Registration Fees

• Ages 11 & over: $35 (5k timed)
• Ages 10 & under: $25 (5k timed)
• Price Increases: Prices increase by $5 on November 1st and again on November 20th.
• Shirt Guarantee: Register by 1pm on November 17th to be guaranteed a long sleeve shirt/hooded sweatshirt in your preferred size.

🎁 What You Get For Registering

Participants will receive their choice of one of the many following items: a turkey hat or elf hat or santa hat (approximately 20 different hat options to choose from during packet pickup) or tutu (multiple colors to choose from) or t-shirt or an upgraded long sleeve shirt or an upgraded hooded sweatshirt.

• Bonus Items: Every registrant will also receive a custom race bib, a sweet treat in the form of a personal pie, donut, and/or cookie.
• Race Features: Chip-timed race, instant results, snacks, and refreshments.
• Awards: Age group award winners will receive a custom specialty turkey trot medal.
• Additional Items: If you want more than one giveaway item you can purchase additional items during online registration.

🎟️ Packet Pick-up and Registration

• Early Packet Pickup: Encouraged at Walkers Shoe Center from 3:30-5pm on Wednesday, November 26.
• Location: 737 E Main St, Lancaster, OH 43130
• Race Day Pickup: Thanksgiving morning starting at 7:15am at Forest Rose School.
• Address: 739 College Ave, Lancaster, OH 43130

⏰ Race Start Time

• Kids Run: Starts at 8:15am.
• 5k Start: Starts at 8:30am.

🍏 Post Race Refreshments

After the race, enjoy refreshments, fruit, and snacks!

🏅 Awards and Age Group Information

• Top Finishers: Top 3 overall male and female runners will receive medals and a sizeable Thanksgiving dessert.
• Age Group Medals: Awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age group.
• Results: Age group results will be posted, and medals handed out at the finish line.
• Kids Fun Run: All participants will receive their choice of a sweet treat!
