Join us as we celebrate Ryan with the 5th Annual “All Rise for Ryan’s Run for Recovery” on Saturday, August 30 @ 8:00 AM. Known to some as Ryan and others as Judge Johanningsmeier, he is remembered for the passion he brought to building a stronger community in Knox County.

👨‍⚖️ Ryan's Legacy

• Drug Court Creation: Ryan established the Knox County Drug Court almost immediately after becoming Judge of Superior Court 2 in 2015, fulfilling a campaign promise.
• Fairness and Respect: As Judge, he ensured that all parties in his courtroom were treated with fairness and respect.
• Community Involvement: He worked tirelessly towards community improvement and motivated others to work towards a common goal.
• Impact on Lives: He loved his role as a Drug Court Judge and the opportunity it gave him to guide people from a life of crime in addiction toward a life of recovery.

🌟 Knox County Drug Court Foundation

• Program Excellence: The Knox County Drug Court program has served more than 200 participants, significantly improving the hope and expectation for recovery in our community.
• Mission: The Knox County Drug Court Foundation’s mission is to support the Drug Court’s objectives of reducing criminal recidivism and achieving long-term sobriety.
• Community Impact: The efforts of this program have transformational impacts on family morale, recovery maintenance, and recidivism costs to the community.
• Proceeds Purpose: The proceeds from this run will further expand the positive impact of this program in our community.

Judge Johanningsmeier was a fun, adventurous, compassionate, and kind member of our community. He was a leader with vision who has had a tremendous positive impact on Knox County, and his legacy will live on in all those he served.
