LASAA Mug Run - Altadena Forever Run

Event Overview

LASAA’s mission is to organize athletic events for our members, which include Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department employees and law enforcement officers. We aim to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie among our members.

History of the Mug Run

• Inception: The Mug Run series began in 1993 as a small event with an average of just 10 runners per race, primarily attended by law enforcement personnel.
• Growth: Participation has grown significantly over the years, now welcoming members of the public with more than 300 runners today.
• Community Engagement: The Mug Run fosters friendly competition and positive engagement between law enforcement and the community.
• Annual Collaboration: Each year, LASAA partners with Sheriff’s stations across the county to host the Mug Runs with unique local spirit and traditions.

This Year’s Theme

This year, Altadena Station is dedicating their Mug Run to commemorating the two-year anniversary of the Altadena Eaton Fire.

About the Altadena Forever Run

• Symbol of Resilience: The inaugural Altadena Forever Run stands as a symbol of resilience and recovery honoring those affected by the Eaton Fire.
• Community Support: It honors those who responded, and those who continue working to rebuild and strengthen our community.
• Inclusivity: The Altadena Forever Run welcomes everyone. Your participation, sponsorship, and presence demonstrate solidarity, remembrance, and hope.
• Beneficiary: Proceeds will support community-benefit initiatives connected to the Eaton Fire Survivors organization and programs supported by the Altadena Sheriff’s Support Group.
