2025 Winter Lightfest Santa Fun Run

Event Overview

The 2025 Santa Fun Run begins at 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 and winds through the United Way's beautiful Winter Lightfest. The run is a fundraiser for the Wylie Bulldogs Education Foundation and the United Way in partnership with Abilene Running Company. Run or walk through 3 million lights and help promote excellence in education at the same time! Strollers are welcome. No dogs please.

Course Details

• Distance: Just under 3 miles
• Lightfest Experience: Goes through the Lightfest four times
• T-shirts: Guaranteed IF you register by Nov. 20
• Registration Deadline: Likely T-shirts if registered by Dec. 1

Weather Policy

The run will only be cancelled if weather conditions (ice or snow) make travel extremely dangerous. No refunds if event is cancelled.

Event Details and Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Abilene Running Co. from noon-6 p.m. on Dec. 2 or from noon to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3
• Registration: At the registration table 15-20 minutes before the Lightfest begins
• Race Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
• Parking: Lighted parking is free: the gate will open at 6 p.m.

The Fun Run will start and end close to the road at the east gate NOT at the Lightfest ticket box.
