Post-Race Celebration

Costume Contest
At the heart of the “Day of the Dead Half Marathon: Parks Edition” is an exciting costume contest that invites runners to fully embrace the spirit of Día de los Muertos.

- Judging: Panel evaluates costumes based on creativity, authenticity, and overall impact.

- Kids Dash: 20 yards for kids 10 and under, includes a T-shirt and medal.
- 1 Mile: Designed for all ages, includes a T-shirt and medal.
- 5K: Chip-timed with overall trophies for male and female finishers.
- Half Marathon: Chip-timed with overall trophies and age group awards.
Awards Structure
- Overall M/F: Trophy for 1st overall.
- Masters Category: Special recognition award for age 40+.
- Age Groups: Gold, Silver, and Bronze award pins for various age categories.
- Recognition: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group.
Event Schedule
- 6:30-7:40am: Packet Pickup ends 20 minutes after the race.
- 7:55am: Kids Dash (Meet at the Start Line).
- 8:00am: National Anthem and Race Start!
- Awards: Live results and awards available immediately following your finish.
