A great family event that will help chase away the winter blues!
🏃♂️ Race Details
Race Schedule: The Hot Cocoa 10K/5K/1 Mile Race is being held in partnership with Olander Park. The race starts at 9 am and there will be multiple corals for a safe start.
Age Categories: In addition to the 5K and 10K, we are having a 1-mile race for our elementary age runners.
🏞️ 1 Mile Race or Walk
Course Overview: The 1 Mile Race or Walk will be a 1 mile loop around Olander Lake.
Timed Events: We are offering a 1 mile timed race for kids and a 1 mile timed event for adults. (Whether you race or walk, you will get a time).
🏅 5K and 10K Race Details
Starting Location: The 5K Race will start at the Nederhouser Community Building, run south on the trail, exit out of Olander Park.
Course Description: The 10K will follow the same course but continue onto the University Parks trail before coming back to the 5K course to finish.
Traffic Conditions: The courses are open to traffic and are not closed courses. (Maps will be provided online and at packet pick-up).
💰 Proceeds and Awards
Beneficiary: Proceeds will go toward our youth programs for promoting positive, healthy lifestyle choices and the prevention of drug, alcohol use, and other at-risk behaviors in our community.
Awards Ceremony: Age group awards will be awarded after the conclusion of the races.
🍫 Post-Race Amenities
Refreshments: Hot Cocoa and grab-and-go snacks will be available after the race finish.

Registration Notice: After February 4th, there will be no shirt guarantee and early bird pricing will end!!!
📦 Packet Pick Up
Date and Locations: Packet Pick Up - Thursday, February 19th from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm, at Dave's Running Shop in Sylvania, 5700 Monroe St., Sylvania, OH and Friday, February 20th from 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm at the Nederhouser located in Olander Park.
Race Day Pickup: There will be limited RACE DAY Packet Pick-up at the race site for those who live more than 30 minutes away.
