🏃‍♂️ Start the New Year Right!

The Santa Barbara Runners Association (SBRA) offers a great way to start the New Year!

Resolve to race into 2026 by joining us at Leadbetter Beach for an invigorating Santa Barbara waterfront 5K & 10K run or walk on New Year's Day.

• Discounted Price: Runners will receive a discounted price for choosing to run both the 10K & 5K.
• Youth Pricing: Runners under 18 years of age pay only $20 (plus fees), please use the following discount code when registering: UNDER18
• Member Benefits: SBRA Adult Members receive $10 off, SBRA Junior Grand Prix members race for FREE!
• Community Support: SBRA events benefit the greater running community, school, youth and club running programs throughout Santa Barbara County.

📅 Event Details

Event will take place on January 1st, 8-11:00 AM.

• 5K Start Time: 9:00 AM, 5K (3.1 Miles)
• 10K Start Time: 9:45 AM, 10K (6.2 Miles)
• Challenge Yourself: Looking for even more of a challenge, participants can double up and race both events!

SB Waterfront Path – Start/Finish line area – Leadbetter Beach, Santa Barbara CA.

🎫 Packet Pickup

Packet pickup/late registration opens at 8:00 am at Leadbetter Beach.

🏆 SBRA Grand Prix

The 10K run is the inaugural SBRA Grand Prix event for 2026 (5K for the Junior Grand Prix).

• Year-Long Competition: Compete against fellow runners throughout the year in Santa Barbara’s best races!
• Membership: Become a member of the SBRA and sign up for the Grand Prix by going to: https://sbrunning.org/

💵 Registration Pricing

Race registration is $TBD. Runners are allowed to “double up” for 15k of racing for an additional $TBD. Runners planning to do both races can do so for just $TBD.

• Member Discount: SBRA members receive a $10 discount on registration.
• Youth Pricing: 17 & Under participants are only $TBD! Your discount will be applied during registration based on your age on race day (January 1, 2026).
• Junior Grand Prix Members: SBRA Junior Grand Prix members race free!
