BIRR Hilo Bay 5k and 10k

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

Join us on Saturday, September 6th, 2025. Race will start at 7:30 am at Reeds Bay on Banyan Drive in Hilo and finish back at the same place.

🏝️ Course Overview

• Route: All runners/walkers will head North on Banyan Drive.
• Turnaround: Participants will turn towards Coconut Island and run the oceanside of Lili'uokalani Park.
• 5K Finish: Those running the 5K will end where we started.
• 10K Extension: 10K runners will continue onto Kalanianaole Street to the “turn around” sign and head back to the finish line.

🥇 Awards & Amenities

• Finishers: Tee-shirts and medals for all finishers.
• Recognition: Awards for overall finishers and age group finishers.
• Support: Aid stations and snacks provided.

🗓️ Registration Information

• Deadline: Online registration closes on September 5th at 3 pm.
• Discount: Big Island Road Runners (BIRR) members receive a $5.00 discount at registration.
• Student Pricing: Student discount pricing available.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: Packet pickup and late registration will be at Reeds Bay on September 5th, 2025.
• Time: Between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
• Race Day: There will be registration and packet pick-up on race day up until 7:00 am.
