53rd Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race

Event Overview

For over 50 years, the Walpole Road Race has given local athletes the opportunity to challenge themselves and participate in a wonderful community tradition. The race is the largest fundraiser to support Walpole High School Cross Country / Track & Field programs. By participating in this event you are supporting 200+ Walpole High School Cross Country/Track & Field athletes across 6 seasons as they prepare for upcoming competition. We thank you for your generosity and continued support of the programs!

Race Details

The Walpole Road Race starts and finishes at Walpole High School and includes:

• 5K run/walk: An opportunity for all to participate.
• 10k run: A challenging route for seasoned runners.
• 1 mile kids run: A fun event for the younger athletes.

Entry Fees

There will be NO paper registration so please register online prior to arrival.

• Before September 5: $40
• September 5-7: $45
• Ages 13 and younger/65 and older: $25
• Youth Mile Fun-Run fee: $25

Event Swag

• Registration by August 1: Receive the coveted official Walpole Road Race T-shirt.
• Finisher's Medal: Awarded to all participants.
• T-shirts for Sale: Race T-shirts available for $20 in our online store.

Awards

• 10K male winner: Name engraved on Herb Lewis Memorial Trophy - displayed at The Run House.
• 10K female winner: Name engraved on John Murphy Trophy - displayed at John D. Murphy & Co.
• Top three finishers: Recognized with specially engraved placement medals in 5K/10K/youth mile.
• Team Races: Team name engraved on Team Plaque - displayed at Walpole High School.

COURSE NOTICE: Due to ongoing driveway construction at Walpole High School, expected to be completed August 15, this year's race course cannot be officially certified. The route is virtually identical to the certified course, with the only difference being an approximate placement of the new finish line.

Additional Information

• Strollers: Welcome in the 5K race, lined up at the back of the starting pack to avoid collisions.
• Dogs: For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed on the course during the races.
