About this race
Run to Remember a Veteran
Our race honors all Active, Reserve, and Guard members and veterans who served our country in the past. Each participant is encouraged to wear the name of a veteran they wish to honor. If you don’t have your “own” veteran, we’ll provide you with a veteran’s name. A great way to show support!
Registration Information
- Deadline: Register before Saturday, September 20th to guarantee availability of size.
- Event Date: Saturday, October 3rd at 9:00am.
- Early Registration Fee: $30. Don’t wait to sign up!
- Location: 15 Milford Street (Rt 140), Upton, MA.
5K Run to Remember
- Course: 5K run is a fast start, mostly flat course, 100% roads. Walkers and joggers with strollers welcome - must start behind runners. No pets please. Course Map Link
- Certification: This is a USA Track & Field certified 5k course (ID# MA18301JK).
Awards
- Categories: Top three men and women overall. Male and female age division awards for age brackets: 12 and under: 13-15: 16-19: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60-69: 70-79, 80+.
- Special Awards: Awards to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female veterans and 1st Teacher, Firefighter & Police Officer.
Amenities
- T-Shirts: Available for purchase.
- Facilities: Water and toilets at check-in.
- Halfway Point: Water at halfway point of race.
- Finish Line: Refreshments at finish.
Event Times
- Registration Time: 5K Race day registration from 7:45am to 8:30am at VFW.
- Race Start: 9am Sharp!
- Bibs & Shirts: Can also be picked up on Friday 10/2 from 4-7pm.
- Day of Registration Fee: $35.
- Race Start Time: 9am (Rain or Shine).
Kid's Fun Run
- Eligibility: For children 10 and under, there will be a Kids Fun Run held on the baseball field behind the VFW after the official 5K race.
- Location: Baseball field behind VFW.
- Start Time: Children's Run starts at 9:45am. Registration on-site from 8am until 9:30am.
- Cost: Children's Run Cost is $7.00 and every kid gets a medal!
