The 2026 Alert Road Race

Event Overview

This popular rural tradition will once again be held at the Alert Covenant Church, 15820 Green Randolph Road in Leonardville, Kansas--Rain or Shine! (It's Kansas--be prepared for both!) Come for the friendly competition and fellowship, stay for the post-race breakfast provided by the Alert Ladies!

Purpose of the Event

All Proceeds from this event will help offset the cost of Alert Youth Camper Registrations at Covenant Cedars Bible Camp this summer!

Race Details

• Distances Offered: 10K, 5K and 1 Mile races.
• Course Information: The 10K and 5K courses include both paved and gravel segments. The one-mile course is an out and back on an all paved road.
• Water Stations: Water stations will be available on all 3 courses.
• Participant Benefits: Each participant will receive a T-shirt, and awards will also be given for top finishers as well!

Start Times

• 10K and 5K: Start time is 7:30 a.m.
• 1 Mile: Start time is approximately 9:30 a.m.

Registration Information

• Early Registration: Sign up early to make race day less hectic!
• Online Registration Cost: $20 through Noon on June 17.
• Race Day Registration Cost: $30 in-person on race morning.
• T-shirt Availability: We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee a T-shirt for all race day registrations.

Packet Pickup and Registration

Race Day Packet pickup and Day of Registrations will begin at 6:30 am on race day.

Event Policy

Due to the size and location of our venue, we do not allow 4-legged friends at the event. (Thank you for understanding!)
