Race Details
- Course: New 5 mile course on city and county roads and concrete pedestrian paths.
- Elevation Gain: Approximately 215 feet, mostly flat.
- Start/Finish: Begins and ends by Riverside Park in downtown Salida.
- Additional Event: A 1 mile course will also be available.
Race Day Schedule
- Start Time: 10am, allowing participants to enjoy Thanksgiving.
- Post-Race: Drinks, snacks, and awards at Salida Scout Hut.
- Lighting of Christmas Mountain: Festivities start at 6pm with a parade.
- Community Focus: Encouraging health, fitness, and connection.
Awards and Prizes
- Top Finishers: Prize money for top 3 males/females ($150/$100/$75).
- Masters Award: First place male/female masters runner receives $100.
- 1 Mile Run: Begins at approximately 10:05am with post-race snacks included.
- Participant Ribbons: All competitors in the 1 mile run will receive a ribbon.
