Race Information
- Course: Beautiful, challenging trails on dirt/jeep roads and narrow, hilly single track.
- Elevation: Ranges from 7000-9000 feet, foot travel only.
- Time Limits: 7.5 hours for the marathon and 5 hours for the half marathon.
- Prizes: Awarded to top three M/F in each race and top three F/M in each 10 year age group.
Charity Contributions
- Event Proceeds: Donations will be made to Salida Mountain Trails and Chaffee County Search and Rescue-South.
- Community Support: Over $40,000 has been donated from race proceeds in the last 8 years.
- Appreciation: We greatly appreciate their support and contributions to the Chaffee County community.
Additional Events
- 2 Mile Run: Covers the first 2 dirt road miles of the marathon and half marathon course.
- Kids’ Run: A free 400 meter run for kids will take place in Riverside Park.
