Start Your New Year on the Right Foot! This fun 5K will have you running the New Year in festive style!

Event Information

• Date: January 1, 2027
• Location: 301 Eldorado Pkwy #100, McKinney, TX
• Brunch: New Year’s Day Brunch will go until 11am.
• Participation: Run, walk, or skip a 5K on the beautiful Wilson Creek.

Registration and Breakfast

• Included: Breakfast is included for registered runners.
• Free Beverage: Registered runners will receive a free beer or mimosa.
• Breakfast Taco: Each runner gets a delicious breakfast taco!
• Sign Up: This event will sell out, so don’t wait until the last minute to sign up!

Parking

• Where to Park: You can park anywhere! We have multiple parking lots around The Stix.

The Run

• Distance: 5K and 1M Fun Run available.
• Course: Run on a scenic Wilson Creek Trail.
• Water Stops: 2 water stops will be provided on the 5K course.

The Swag

• Breakfast Pass: All American breakfast + beer or mimosa for those over 21 (must bring I.D.).
• NYDR T-Shirt: T-shirts must be ordered ahead; late registrants may not receive their preferred size.
• Finisher Medal: All finishers will receive a medal.

Virtual Race

• Participation: Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal via mail during the week after the race.

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup #1: December 30, 2025 from 3 PM - 6 PM at Playtri Dallas.
• Early Pickup #2: December 31, 2025 from 1 PM - 6 PM at The Stix Icehouse.
• Race Day Pickup: January 1, 2027 from 8 AM - 8:45 AM at the race site.

Race Day Schedule

• 8 AM - 8:45 AM: Late packet pickup and registration (if not sold out).
• 9:00 AM: 5K starts (no late starts will be allowed).
• 9:05 AM: 1M Fun Run starts.
• 9:30 AM: Brunch is served.

Course Notes

• Music Devices: The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged for safety.
• Pets: No pets are allowed on the 5K course; however, they are welcome in the 1M fun event.
• Age Requirements: Minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6; no minimum age for the 1M.
• Course Changes: Race management reserves the right to change any event course if necessary.

Awards

• Top Finisher: Overall Male and Female.
• Masters: Top Finisher Masters Male and Female.
• Age Groups: Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in various age groups.
• 1M Fun Run: Not timed, no awards, just fun.
