Clear Lake Earth Day Youth Mile, 5K & 10K Races

🌍 Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, April 18th, 2026
• Location: Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Clear Lake, IA
• Start Times: Youth Mile at 8:30 a.m., 5K & 10K races at 9 a.m.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Youth Mile: Participants will make 3 loops around City Park, finishing by the seawall.
• 5K & 10K Routes: Start lakeside at the Main Avenue boat ramp, loop around City Park, and then head out along South Shore Drive.
• Turnaround: Runners will return on the designated 5K or 10K paths, turning left at Main Avenue.
• Finish Line: Finish in front of the Lady of the Lake.

🏅 Awards

• Overall Winners: Prizes for overall male and female winners.
• Age Categories: Top male and female finishers in age categories: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
• Special Recognition: Awards will highlight outstanding performances in each category.

👕 Registration Details

• Shirt Deadline: Sign up by March 20th to receive a shirt.
• Event Management: Presented by the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
• Race Director: Directed by Tyler Havens, Clear Lake High School Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach.
