Event Description
- Purpose: Join the Coach Archie Duran Memorial 5K Virtual Run to honor the life and legacy of Coach Archie Duran, who passed away in a bus accident.
- Proceeds: All proceeds benefit the foundation, providing scholarships to El Paso area students.
- Participation: Suitable for friends and family, with a fun walk that supports a good cause.
- Incentives: Everyone receives a T-shirt, and the first 200 registrants receive a finishers’ medal and SWAG!
About Coach Archie Duran Memorial Fund
- Established: The fund was created in 2018 in memory of Coach Archie Duran.
- Mission: To provide scholarships for students and funds for teachers to purchase school supplies.
- Impact: Celebrates the legacy of a beloved coach, father, brother, and husband.
- Community: Focuses on students that Coach Duran cared deeply for.
Registration Fees
- Individual Registration: Early to 2-28-2026 - $25: After 2-28-2026 - $30.00
- Team Registration: $30 per team member
- Online Registration: $30.00 (plus applicable fees): registration fees are non-refundable.
- Packet Pickup: Pre-race on April 11 at Hoppy Monk, 12PM to 4PM: Race day from 7AM to 7:45AM.
Awards
- Overall Winners: Trophy for the Overall Male & Female runners in the 5K.
- Top Finishers: Medals for the Top 3 finishers in male & female age groups.
- Age Groups: Categories from 14 & under to 80 & over.
- Finisher Medal: Awarded to the first 200 participants!
