Battle of the Run Clubs

Welcome to the Battle of the Run Clubs Team XC Challenge

And by run clubs, we mean Run Clubs, but we also mean run..."clubs".

Registration Details

• Sign Up Options: You can sign up with a group of friends, family members, or as an individual.
• No Complete Team Required: If your friends don't get organized, mixed teams will be combined.
• Free Agents: Individuals can enter as "Free Agents" and will be combined into mixed teams or possibly a team of their own.
• Entry Team: If entering as an individual, please enter "Free Agent" Team.

Race Schedule

• 1 Mile Steeplechase: 8am - obstacles comprised of small horse jumps (2'-2'6"), ditches, potentially through water and banks.
• 10 Mile: 8:30am
• 10k: 9:00am
• 5k: 9:30am

Scoring System

Each race will be scored equally, as follows:

• 1st place: 1 point
• 2nd place: 2 points
• 3rd place: 3 points
• 4th place: 4 points

Team scores will consist of the top 4 best placings, aiming for the LOWEST overall team score. Additional runners on a team will not add to the score but can help by bumping runners from other teams down in the rankings.

Additional Information

• Team Composition: All teams may be of the same gender and run the same race, or any combination of distances/genders.
• Strategy: A "perfect" team score of 4 requires multiple distances and genders.
• Food and Relaxation: After the race, enjoy food from Stable View's famous Graze and Gaze, relax, play lawn games, and mingle.
• Showers: Showers and adult beverages will be available at cost in the Tavern.

Awards

Winning team's name will be engraved on a perpetual trophy to be displayed at Stable View, and individual trophies will be awarded to winners.

Accommodations

For those wishing to stay near the Start Line or linger longer after the race, Stable View offers contemporary lodging and RV Hook Ups. Enjoy the peaceful country setting, close to dining, sightseeing, and shopping in historic downtown Aiken.

Event Information

• Rain or Shine: Event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
• T-shirts: Exact sizes are not guaranteed after January 15, 2027.
