• Purpose: The Cole Borges Memorial Scholarship Fund invites you to join us for the Cole Borges Moon & Stars 5K Run/Walk.
• Dedication: An evening dedicated to honoring Cole’s memory while helping students pursue their educational dreams.

The Story Behind the Scholarship Fund

• Organizer: My name is Stacy Borges, and I am Cole’s mother.
• Family: Glen, Cole's father, and our sons Jon-Alan and Alex, are grateful for the opportunity to share Cole’s story.
• About Cole: Cole passed away in January 2023, at 15 years old, a sophomore at Marianna High School, and enrolled in honors classes.

Cole's Athletic Involvement

• Sports: Dedicated cross-country runner since sixth grade and developed a passion for soccer during high school.
• Team: Played on the JV team during both his freshman and sophomore years.

Cole's Character

• Kindness: Touched countless lives through kindness, compassion, and generosity.
• Friendship: Goal-setter and loyal friend who helped others.
• Impact: His passing revealed how many lives he impacted through his support and selfless acts.

Cole's Community Engagement

• Faith: Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, served as an altar server for over seven years.
• Confirmation: Received the Sacrament of Confirmation just months before his passing.

Cole's Aspirations

• Service: Dreamed of serving his country through the military.
• Education: Focused on attending college to earn a degree.

Legacy of Helping Others

• Volunteering: Helped through school, church, community projects, and among friends.

• Eligibility: Scholarships are available to graduating seniors residing in Jackson, Washington, Holmes, and Calhoun Counties.
• Supported Education: Colleges and universities, technical schools, vocational programs, and trade schools.
