• Purpose: The Cole Borges Memorial Scholarship Fund invites you to join us for the event.
• Legacy: An evening dedicated to honoring Cole’s memory.

Event Schedule

• 6:30 PM: Registration
• 7:30 PM: 5K Run/Walk Begins

Registration Fees

• $35: Registration through August 31, 2026 (Includes an event t-shirt with pre-registration)
• $40: Registration beginning September 1, 2026 through race day
• Note: Race shirts guaranteed to participants who register by August 31, 2026.

The Story Behind the Scholarship Fund

• Family: My name is Stacy Borges, Cole’s mother, and we thank you for the opportunity to share Cole’s story.
• Background: Cole passed away in January 2023 at 15 years old, a sophomore in honors classes.
• Passions: A dedicated cross-country runner and soccer player at Marianna High School.
• Character: Cole touched countless lives with his kindness, compassion, and generosity.

Helping Others

• Volunteer: He volunteered through school, church, and community projects.
• Understanding: Cole appreciated the value of helping others and giving back.

Importance of Education

• Challenges: Acknowledged the financial challenges students face.
• Legacy: Established the scholarship fund to help graduating seniors pursue higher education.

Why the Moon &: Stars 5K?

• Passion: Cole loved running and had a fascination with the stars.
• Remembrance: The event serves as a reminder of Cole's impact and support for scholarship recipients.
