• Purpose: The Cole Borges Memorial Scholarship Fund invites you to join us for the Cole Borges Moon & Stars 5K Run/Walk.
• Honoring: An evening dedicated to honoring Cole’s memory.
• Support: Helping students pursue their educational dreams.

Event Schedule:

• 6:30 PM: Registration
• 7:30 PM: 5K Run/Walk Begins

Registration Fees:

• Cost: $35 – Registration (Includes an event t-shirt while supplies last to 9/11/27)
• Availability: A limited number of additional shirts may be available on race day while supplies last.

The Story Behind the Scholarship Fund:

• Family Tribute: My name is Stacy Borges, and I am Cole’s mother.
• Thank You: Glen, Cole's father, and our sons, Jon-Alan and Alex, thank you for allowing us to share Cole’s story.
• Legacy: Cole, passed away in January 2023, was 15 years old, a sophomore at Marianna High School.

Cole’s Achievements:

• Runner: Dedicated cross-country runner since sixth grade.
• Soccer: Developed a passion for soccer during high school.
• Character: Cole touched countless lives through his kindness and compassion.

Cole’s Faith:

• Community Involvement: Member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
• Service: Served as an altar server for over seven years.
• Confirmation: Received the Sacrament of Confirmation just months before his passing.
• Dreams: Wanted to serve his country through the military.

Support for Others:

• Volunteering: Cole volunteered whenever he could.
• Education: Understood the financial challenges many students face.

Scholarship Fund Details:

• Purpose: Assist graduating seniors as they pursue higher education.
• Types of Education: Traditional college, university, technical school, or trade program.

Why the Moon & Stars 5K?

• Passion: Cole loved running and had a fascination with the stars.

Suicide Prevention Month:

• Purpose: We moved the race to September to recognize Suicide Prevention Month.
• Awareness: Aims to foster conversation about mental health and suicide prevention.

Our Scholarship Program:

• Eligibility: Available to graduating seniors residing in Jackson, Washington, Holmes, and Calhoun Counties.
• Support: Scholarships for students attending colleges, technical schools, and vocational programs.
