About this race
Race Overview
Come support your Grand Ledge Comet Marching Band on Saturday, July 25th for the annual Comet 5k run/walk. Band members will play for you along the route! Water stations and post-race snacks will be provided. This is a family friendly event all ages and abilities are welcome!
Parking Information
- Location: At Beagle Middle school, 600 W. South Street.
- Directions: Turn at Jenne street to South Street and pull into the Beagle parking lot.
- Note: The street (Lohne Drive) at the roundabout will not be open.
Registration Fees
- Standard Fees: $35 through July 12th.
- Late Fees: $40 from July 13th to July 24th.
- Race Day Fee: $45 Race day.

Student Registration
Ages 18 and under only $25.
Special Family Pricing
Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3 per person. Savings automatically applied during registration.

- Overall Awards: Overall Male and Overall Female Awards - Gift Certificates.
- Age Group Awards: Medals for Male and Female.
- Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+
Race Swag
All participants who register by July 12th will receive a t-shirt. T-shirts available after that date as supplies last.
Packet Pickup
- Early Packet Pickup: TBD - Grand Ledge Track Complex: 1121 Lohne Dr, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
- Race Day Packet Pickup: Morning of the race starting at 7:30 am.
Course Details
The 5k run/walk starts and finishes at Grand Ledge High School track.

Event Proceeds
All proceeds from the event will support the Grand Ledge Marching Band.
Virtual Event
If you are unable to participate in person, sign up for the virtual event. T-shirts are included with registration by July 12th. Price is $40 and includes shipping. There are no awards for the virtual event, however you can enter your results after you complete your run/walk. Results can be entered on the results page.
Timing
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
