Conquer the Rock 25k & 50k

Race Overview

Not for the faint of heart, but the conquer is worth the climb ⛰️

• Event: Conquer the Rock — Bear Crawl 25K (one loop) and Foothills 50K (two loops)
• Date: Saturday, March 6, 2027
• Location: Table Rock State Park — enter via West Gate Road, W. Gate Road, Pickens, SC 29671
• Elevation Change: 16,000 feet of elevation change for both races.

Race Day Details

• Start Time: Both races start at 8:00 AM sharp
• Packet Pickup: Pinnacle Pavilion, 90 minutes prior to the start. No proxy pickups.
• Time Limit: 11 hours. The 50K has a 5-hour cutoff at the end of lap one.
• Parking: Park at Pinnacle Pavilion and follow event parking signs.

Course Information

Steep, rocky, and relentless, taking in the summits of Pinnacle and Table Rock with epic, jaw-dropping views along the way. The 25K is one loop: the 50K is two, for a total of roughly 16,000 feet of elevation change. This is a genuine mountain course and should be respected as one.

Parking Information

Park at Pinnacle Pavilion. Racers pay a $5 special use permit fee during registration.

Aid Stations

• Water Stations: Water-only aid at two locations on the loop
• Fully Stocked Station: At the 15.5 mile mark for 50K runners starting their second lap.
• Available Snacks: Post-run pancakes
• Hydration: Water at two points on the loop

• Giving Back: Part of the Upstate Giving Series supporting local nonprofit organizations.

• Dogs: Yes, dogs are allowed on the course.
• Headphones: Yes, headphones or earbuds are allowed.
• Packet Pickup: No one can pick up your packet for you.
• Registration: Yes, you can register on race day using your mobile device.
