Race Information

We look forward to seeing you at H.A.L.T.’s 4th annual HOOF it for H.A.L.T. 5K Run/Walk. Please join us in racing so others can ride!

All money raised will go towards Horse Assisted Learning & Therapy Inc. and its continued programs and future events.

Awards

• Overall and Age Group Winners: Awards will be presented.
• Race Day Shirt: First 200 to register guaranteed a race day shirt and participant medal. Those registering after we exceed our guarantee may not receive a shirt and will be subject to availability.
• Registration Deadline: Register by Sept 1, to ensure a shirt.

Packet Pickup

• Pickup Date: Friday the 25th at Riverbend Park at the main office in the front from 12-6pm.
• Excitement: Can’t wait to see you there!!!

Directions

To get to the "River Pavilion" at Picnic Island, enter the park from W Indiantown Rd and follow the paved road all the way to the back to where it will turn to the left and become a dirt road. Follow the dirt road to the right (it's a one way road). Parking is along the road, past the trailhead parking lot, before and after the pavilion!

Race Course

Participants will start the race at Picnic Island at Riverbend Park in Jupiter Farms and will continue through the natural area and taking the same route back to Picnic Island. This 5K features a scenic course through the Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River, cypress swamps, and diverse wildlife habitats including:

• Wildlife: spotted deer, turkeys, cranes
• Other Species: raccoons, turtles, alligators
• More Wildlife: river otters, peacocks, armadillos
• Birds: spoonbills, green herons, wood ducks
• Others: woodpeckers, hummingbirds, double-crested cormorants, and bobcats!

Post-Race Fun

Please stay around and join us for some music and food from local businesses and check out some of the great local vendors that support our cause!

Virtual Race

Can't make it to the race? No need to stress: you can join in on the fun virtually! If you register in time a shirt and medal will be mailed to you.

Event Schedule

• 6:00 AM: Parking is open and head to Picnic Island for check-in
• 6:30 AM: Welcome Announcements & National Anthem
• 7:00 AM: Race Begins
• 7:15 AM: Food & Fun begins
• 7:30 AM: Raffles and Awards start to be called. 10:00 AM: Race is over. Have an amazing day!

Additional Details

• Timing: Every runner will be provided with a disposable timing tag affixed to the race bib. AccuChipUSA will record the net timing for each participant.
• Pets: Pets are not permitted in Riverbend.
• Parking Assistance: On race day, parking directors will assist you upon entering the gates. There will be volunteers to guide you to Picnic Island and tell you where to park.
