Cream Puff 5K Event Overview

Join us for the 2026 Cream Puff 5K, the sweetest run/walk of the year!

• Purpose: Run or walk to benefit the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation! This year, we are celebrating the 175th anniversary of Wisconsin State Fair and the 250th birthday of the United States!
• Included: All registration includes a ticket to the 2026 State Fair, an Original Cream Puff, a cool T-Shirt and more.
• Schedule: Race starts at 6:30 p.m. for 5K runners and 6:35 p.m. start for 1.5K walkers.
• After-party: Stay for the Wednesday Night Live after-party starting at 7 p.m!

• Team Registration: Register 13 or more adults using the same team/group name.
• Discount: All team members will receive a discount!
• Shirt Personalization: We will print your company, family or other special name on the back of the shirt!

Costume Contest

Show your Wisconsin spirit in our Cream Puff 5K Costume Contest! We hope to see your best waitresses, cows, farmers and other creative ideas that inspired by the Wisconsin State Fair and State of Wisconsin.

• Costume Guidelines: Your costume must be tasteful and appropriate for G (“general”) audiences, ideally homemade.
• Arrival Time: Entrants should arrive at the Start Line Costume Area Tent between 5:30-6 p.m. with your bib number on your costume.
• Registration: You must be registered for the run with a bib to participate.
• Announcement: Winners will be announced just before the start of the run at the Start Line.

• Group Costume - 2 or more registered participants

Prizes

Prizes will include: a coveted trophy for each category, a take home pack of Cream Puffs AND a State Fair fun pack with LOTS of freebees to make your visit to the State Fair the best ever!

About the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation

In 1995, community leaders established the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) partner of the Wisconsin State Fair.

• Foundation Mission: The Foundation has been here ever since to provide donors with a pathway to contribute to our beloved Fair.
• Impact: Over the past six years, the Foundation has funded more than $730,000 toward projects and programs of the State Fair.
• Improvements: Central Park and the Amphitheater areas have undergone upgrades thanks to donor contributions.
• Ag Education: The Foundation funds “Ag Discovery Day” at the fair park every spring for over 1,000 elementary students.
